Show more detail in Slack

I’ll often link to a doc using text that doesn’t describe the whole of the document. Having more detail would give people more context into what documents I’m linking to, and let them jump to the most relevant one.

So, it would be great to have “rich previews” or more embedding when I paste a link into slack. I suppose this requires an integration, but showing at least the document name would be really nice. As it is, slack creates the same generic preview if you paste multiple links into one thread.

Hey Fred (and other readers),

Just a heads up that we’re starting to plan work around integrations, Slack being one of these.

Better link previews seems pretty straightforward, but if you’d like to chat more about integrations, we’ve opened up a bunch of slots to talk 1:1.

Feel free to book time on my calendar if there are any integrations that would improve your workflow.
